Foreign Tax Credit
Home country credit against domestic income tax. Received in return for foreign taxes paid on foreign derived earnings.
Also called FTC. Under Sec 901 of the U.S. tax code- a foreign tax credit is allowed for taxes paid or accrued to a foreign country or U.S. possession during the taxable year.
