Musharaka

An agreement in which an Islamic bank of financial institution provides funds that are intermingled with the funds of others participating in the business enterprise. All such participants are entitled to participate in management. Profit is distributed among the partners in preagreed upon ratios. Losses are borne by each partner in proportion to his or her respective capital contribution.
