A combination of people or firms formed to accomplish a business venture of mutual interest by pooling resources. In a real estate investment syndicate the parties own and/or develop property, with the main profit generally arising from the sale of the property.
A group of firms which join together to underwrite and distribute new issue bonds. Each firm in the syndicate may have a different percentage of liability in the syndicate. Each syndicate will have a Senior Manager and could also have a mix of Co-Manager(s), Members and Selling Group Member members. See also Senior Manager, Co-Manager and Selling Group Member.
